Football Manager 2011 Social Features and YouTube Integration

This year, Football Manager 2011 will come with a set of social features to keep up to date with the gamers’ series of interests: therefore, we will be able to post our great results directly on Twitter and Facebook, as well as achievements and goals, plus videos directly to YouTube. Let the spamming begin! :)

Here is the official word from Sports Interactive on the social features and Youtube integration in Football Manager 2011:

“The 2011 version of the award-winning Football Manager series will introduce the ability to upload videos from the hugely improved Match Engine directly to a YouTube account. This will also include videos from the new match engine camera angle, dubbed the “TV camera” due to it being a moving and more zoomed in camera, much like you’d see when watching a match on TV.

Via Twitter, managers can set manual or automatic updates of achievements to their Twitter account, whilst STEAM users can publish over 80 achievements to a personal virtual manager’s office on www.footballmanager.com as well as their STEAM profiles.”

I’m glad I’ve pre-ordered Football Manager 2011 on Steam, it will certainly be really cool to see the achievements in action and see how fast can I get them all.

Now if you’re curious to see the new TV camera and feel lazy enough to go to SI’s YouTube channel, here are the videos posted there:

Looks pretty impressive!

Hey Calin, great post and very informative. The youtube feature is just fantastic. It will take a while to adjust to the new game but I want to take advantage of all the new gadgets. Thanks for the info.

Yes, I must admit that I really like the new 3D match engine!
