There are a ton of database tweaks and upgrades available for download from Football Manager 2012 websites which add a ton of new playable nations and leagues, tweak the game for specific challenges and so on: the idea is that Football Manager is a highly customizable game and you should feel free to play with the database as you see fit in order to enhance your experience. However, in this article we will address a different thing: how to add a custom database in Football Manager 2012 – it’s not the most difficult thing to do and you should not worry when you are to download a new database from the internet. So here are the easy steps to add the new database to the game:

1. Download and copy or extract (if it’s a Rar file, using WinRar – free tool) the database to the following folder: Documents – Sports Interactive – Football Manager 2012 – editor data (if the editor data folder does not exist, feel free to create it)

2. Start a new game and when it asks you to choose database, you will notice at the bottom “Editor Data Files” and a button you can click to tick or untick – make sure that you click that button to select your database changes or/and a different database using the scroll down menu.
